As a youth volleyball coach, I demonstrated ethical and transformational leadership by building a cohesive, values-driven team in a community setting. This artifact showcases how I applied leadership theory—particularly transformational and servant leadership—in real time, developed key skills such as communication and strategic thinking, and grew as a scholar-practitioner by fostering youth development in a high-responsibility role. It aligns with DEL Outcomes 3 and 4.
Outcome 3: Assemble, align, and reconfigure tangible and intangible assets to sustain organizations’,
communities’, or institutions’ viability for the future.
Outcome 4: Model, design, and implement scholar-practitioner practices and processes to develop ethical
leadership in organizational, community, or institutional contexts.
